About this role

Hello! We are Volotea, the airline of small and mid-sized cities in Europe. As an OCC Flight Dispatcher, you’ll be at the heart of airline operations, ensuring that every Volotea flight departs, flies, and arrives safely, efficiently, and on time. You’ll coordinate with crews, airports, and air traffic control, making real-time decisions.

Every day, you’ll work in a dynamic and challenging 24/7 position inside the OCC, responsible for the planning and monitoring of all Volotea flights. Analyse the operational environment through NOTAMs, aeronautical publications, aircraft status, and weather reports. Prepare and file the operational flight plan according to regulations and conditions.

Update flight plans to cope with delays, diversions, MEL restrictions, and other abnormal operations while monitoring all airborne flights. Coordinate with crews for fuel, route, and aircraft performance requirements, and with airports for runway slots. Requirements

Flight dispatcher certification or equivalent authorization
Proficiency in analyzing NOTAMs, aeronautical publications, and weather reports
Knowledge of operational flight planning regulations and company policies
Ability to file flight plans with Air Traffic Service Units
Experience handling delays, diversions, and abnormal operations
Skill in real-time flight monitoring and optimization for cost-effectiveness
Strong coordination with flight crews and airports

Responsibilities

Work in a dynamic and challenging 24/7 position inside the OCC, responsible for the planning and monitoring of all Volotea flights
Analyse the operational environment of the flight through NOTAMs, Aeronautical publications, Aircraft Status, and Weather reports
Prepare the Operational Flight Plan according to the regulations, company policies, and the environmental conditions expected for the flight
File the associated plan with the appropriate Air Traffic Service Units
Update flight plans as required to cope with delays, diversions, MEL restrictions, and other abnormal operations
Monitor all airborne flights
Update and optimize the flight plans to reduce ATC delays and ensure the most cost-effective routings
Coordinate with the crew for fuel, route, and aircraft performance requirements
Coordinate with airports for runway slots in case of operational changes
