About this role
Join Worldwide Flight Services and contribute to the timely delivery of cargo shipments and on-time flights while operating safely and securely. As a Cargo Ramp Agent at ORD, you will be part of a global team performing at the highest level for our customers every day.
Your day-to-day work involves loading and unloading cargo weighing up to 80 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas. You will transport cargo between terminals and aircraft using a 3,000 lb. vehicle, reading off-load sheets to determine destination of cargo.
You will work alongside cargo, passenger, ramp handling, and technical service experts across 227 airport locations worldwide. The role requires remaining cognizant of staff and visitor activities, reporting security breaches or non-compliance with the site security plan.

Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work in a high-noise level environment
- Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with or without the assistance of sight or visual aids
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
Responsibilities
- Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 80 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas
- Lift, push, or pull and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers with and to aircraft
- Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving a 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to navigate through congested areas
- Read off-load sheets to determine destination of cargo
- Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material at designated express docks
- Complete forms and messages necessary for the performance of designated location functions
- Confront and question unauthorized personnel in secured areas and report their presence to authorities as necessary
- Report to work on a regular and timely basis
