We seek an Experienced Part 21 Electrical/Avionics Engineer to join Boeing EASA Modifications in our rapidly expanding team. The role supports certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners, demonstrating compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Report to the Electrical/Avionics Engineering Manager and collaborate with the global engineering services team across time zones. Lead design activities for electrical/avionic equipment changes in large aircraft modifications. Compile engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, service bulletins and ICA supplements.

Work in a best-in-class Design Office based in Frimley, UK, with engineers, technicians, scientists and innovators. Act as Boeing representative in customer meetings like ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI. Provide on-site support during project embodiment phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Electrical/Avionics or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
  • Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
  • Experience supporting certification of aircraft modifications with EASA regulations
  • Knowledge of electrical load analysis, EWIS assessments and equipment qualification
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, harness fabrication and system schematic manuals

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Electrical/Avionics Engineering Manager and work with global team to identify requirements and solutions for projects
  • Lead and contribute to design activities ensuring compliance with design requirements for electrical/avionic systems changes
  • Lead certification activities including on-wing test witnessing to meet regulatory requirements
  • Compile and check engineering documentation such as wiring diagrams, wire routing drawings, service bulletins and ICA supplements
  • Compile and check certification documents including electrical load analysis, test plans, compliance statements and system safety documents
  • Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings like ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI
  • Provide on-site support to customers during the embodiment phase of projects
