Kuala Lumpur, MY · Full-time · MYR 48,000 – MYR 84,000
About this role
The Flight Dispatcher ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant planning and monitoring of all company flights. This role involves flight planning, weather and NOTAM analysis, coordination with flight crews and air traffic control. It focuses on active management of operational disruptions to maintain schedule integrity within safety and cost constraints.
Daily tasks include preparing timely Crew Briefs with flight plan filing, weather, NOTAMs, and relevant operational information. Dispatchers monitor and update the Operations System and Flight Following System for accuracy and real-time tracking. They maintain weather and NOTAM watches, alerting crews to changes.
In a dynamic 24/7 rotational shift environment at RedQ, Sepang, the role demands coordination in a complex technical setting. Dispatchers escalate aircraft tracking deviations and manage ATC slot times for delays over 15 minutes. They provide input at A-CDM airports and handle flight plan revisions during disruptions.
This position supports disruption recovery planning and timely recommendations for the daily aircraft program. Opportunities involve reviewing take-off and landing performance limitations while improving safety and efficiency through total payload planning. It suits those with aviation operational knowledge seeking rotational shift work.
