About this role

iRocket is scaling its autonomous launcher capabilities. We’re looking for an Avionics Engineer to design, integrate, and verify guidance, navigation, control, and flight-software systems. These systems support our reusable launch vehicles.

You will design and integrate avionics architectures, including flight computers, sensors, guid-nav-control, actuation subsystems, and vehicle communication systems. Produce schematics, PCB layouts, thermal/mechanical analysis, and firmware/FPGA integration as applicable. Perform system-level verification through hardware-in-loop and software-in-loop testing.

Conduct vibration, thermal, EMI testing, and flight-qualification processes. Work closely with software, propulsion, structures, and systems teams to close requirements and achieve flight readiness. Maintain documentation including requirements, verification plans, traceability, and anomaly reports.

Join a dynamic startup environment where strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills drive success. Lead integration and verification efforts in a high-stakes aerospace setting. Contribute to advancing reusable launch vehicle technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years of avionics or embedded systems engineering in aerospace, defense, or complex systems environment
  • Experience with PCB design, signal conditioning, sensor integration, flight-software verification, and test systems
  • Knowledge of guidance/navigation/control algorithms, FPGA/embedded firmware, and hardware validation
