About this role

As a Ramp Agent, you will be essential in ensuring flights run on time through efficient ground support services. This role involves working outdoors in a fast-paced, safety-focused aviation environment where every action contributes to on-time performance.

Daily duties include guiding inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate, loading and unloading passenger baggage, cargo, and mail. You will also operate heavy equipment like pushback tugs and belt loaders, and safeguard customer property from damage or loss.

Requirements

  • Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced, safety-focused aviation environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to complete all required company, airport, and customer training.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and protocols at all times.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy baggage and cargo (up to 70 lbs).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate ground support equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins.
  • Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction.
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pushback tugs and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers.
  • Operate motorized equipment including belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, and bag carts.
  • Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
  • Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments and enter data into company's information system.
