About this role
Microflite Aviation seeks experienced Fixed Wing Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMEs) with PC-12 type rating for a hands-on role. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, work at Moorabbin Airport head office and across remote and interstate bases throughout Australia. Ensure safe, compliant operation of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft.
Perform and oversee maintenance activities, diagnose technical issues, and support aircraft availability per operational needs. Uphold airworthiness, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance standards. Maintain accurate records in line with CASA regulations and company policies.

Requirements
- Relevant Engineering License: CASA Part 66 B1.1 License (PC-12 type rated Airframe and Engine).
- Minimum 2 years as a licensed engineer on fixed-wing aircraft.
- Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations, maintenance procedures, and quality control processes.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
- High commitment to safety and quality.
- Strong planning, documentation, and coordination abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, ensuring compliance with CASA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify aircraft faults, certify work performed, and ensure all aircraft meet airworthiness requirements before release.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
- Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance schedules to optimise aircraft availability and operational efficiency.
- Conduct component replacements, system inspections, modifications, and upgrades as required.
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects focused on maintenance improvements, operational efficiencies, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee special initiatives, including aircraft upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvement projects.
- Collaborate with pilots, operations, and engineering teams to support safe and efficient aircraft operations.
