About this role

CareFlight is an Australian “for purpose” aeromedical organisation delivering critical support via helicopters, turbo prop aircraft, aeromedical jets and patient transport vehicles to over 8,500 patients yearly. As a key engineering team member reporting to the Engineering Base Manager, coordinate and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance. Manage timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities while carrying out maintenance on aircraft components. Supervise unlicensed engineers and contractors, complete documentation correctly, and maintain aircraft and engine log books. Ensure aircraft stay within licensing requirements, control manuals, and raise non-compliance issues with CASA regulations.

Adhere to safe workplace practices, identify hazards using the CareFlight Safety Reporting System, and maintain personal tools per procedures. Conduct regular servicing of ground support equipment and attend to correspondence, emails, and phone calls. Work with dedicated professionals across varying groups and levels.

Requirements

  • CASA Part 66 B2 License on Beech 200 Series (PWC PT6)
  • Team player approach to work but able to work autonomously effectively
  • Ability to problem solve and provide workable solutions
  • Outstanding organisation skills and self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across work groups and levels
  • Professional, service-orientated attitude
  • CASA B2 LAME licence on G150 Jet Aircraft (highly regarded)
  • CASA B2 LAME licence on AW139 Helicopters (highly regarded)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft
  • Manage the timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities
  • Carry out maintenance of aircraft components
  • Supervise unlicensed engineers and/or contractors as required
  • Complete maintenance documentation correctly
  • Maintain aircraft and engine log books
  • Raise matters of non-compliance with CASA regulations and CareFlight policies
  • Maintain aircraft within licensing requirements, control and procedural manuals
