The Aircraft Dispatcher plans the route of flight taking into account aircraft performance and loading, enroute winds, thunderstorm and turbulence forecasts, airspace restrictions, and airport conditions. They share legal responsibility with the pilot in command.
Monitor the flight's progress from departure to arrival and advise pilots if conditions change. Remain on duty during the planning and operation of all flights, exercising complete operational control authority over assigned flights. Assume responsibility for preflight planning and issuance of dispatch releases.
Work in a fast paced, dynamic environment requiring the ability to multitask workload. Be available to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends while handling requests with a sense of urgency. Lift supplies up to 25 lbs., work indoors, with business casual dress acceptable.

Requirements
- Possess an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
- Authorized by UPS to exercise full operational control over any flight
- Basic air carrier operations knowledge from a Part 135, 119, or 121 Domestic, Flag, or Supplemental operations
- Minimum of 4 years domestic flight dispatch experience or minimum of two years international flight dispatch experience
- Team player exhibiting leadership skills
- Self-directed with initiative and ability to make decisions independently
- Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle stress well

- Assume responsibility for preflight planning, issuance of dispatch releases, and monitoring flight progress
- Provide the latest available flight information ensuring the safest and most economical flight operations
- Assume joint responsibility with each Captain for flight safety per FAA regulations and FOM Vol 02
- Ensure company compliance with all FAA regulations and policies for flight dispatch
