About this role

The Evaluator role focuses on technical evaluation, inspection, and workscope planning of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. This position ensures incoming and in-process components are correctly identified, evaluated, documented, and planned in compliance with OEM technical data, FAA regulations, EASA requirements, customer requirements, and company quality standards.

Daily tasks include performing detailed inspections of aircraft components, accessories, and assemblies to identify discrepancies, defects, damage, and non-conforming conditions. Professionals interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), and other OEM data to generate accurate workscopes, reports, bill of materials, and routing plans.

Collaboration occurs with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Program Management, and supply chain teams to ensure workscopes are technically accurate, cost-effective, and executable. Technical decisions determine serviceability, repairability, part interchangeability, and approved substitutions based on applicable requirements.

Tools like ERP (Syteline) track parts, processes, labor, and discrepancy data, while Microsoft Office analyzes data and communicates plans. Adherence to Repair Station Manuals, company policies, and safety procedures supports overall operations, with additional duties as assigned.

  • Make technical decisions on serviceability, repairability (repair vs. replace, alternate repairs), part interchangeability, and alternate / approved substitutions
  • Validate part numbers, serial numbers, modification status, and configuration against technical documentation
  • Utilize ERP (Syteline) to enter discrepancy data, routing plans, material requirements, and track parts, processes, and labor
