Requirements
- Broad knowledge of target requirements, systems engineering, missile systems designs, avionics, telemetry systems, and hardware integration/test procedures
- Knowledge of electrical design, test, and manufacturing for avionic hardware on military flight vehicles
- Experience with electrical systems interface design and test of multi-component avionics packages for missile flight vehicles
- Knowledge of software design, test, and qualification processes for avionics on missile flight hardware
- Knowledge of CAD tools for electrical drawings and standards like IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC 7711/7721, NASA 8739.1 and 8739.4
- Experience with flight hardware acceptance and qualification test procedures including functional and environmental testing
- Knowledge of typical aerospace procedures for Control of Non-Conforming Material and military/aerospace quality standards
- Knowledge of ordnance systems design; ordnance handling certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Engineer target missile electrical requirements, design, integration, and test
- Review component selection and oversee qualification testing
- Review design review objective evidence, interface control documents, and specifications
- Support failure review boards and root cause determination
- Perform assembly, integration, test, and launch of target missiles
- Analyze flight test telemetry data from avionics hardware to assess performance
- Write Statements of Work for electrical hardware manufacture, rework, and test
