About this role

The Hydraulic MRO Engineer conducts failure investigations and prepares reports based on findings from facts, research, and studies, submitting recommendations for approval. Responsibilities focus on hydraulic systems including cylinders, pumps, and motors to ensure MRO operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

Daily tasks include preparing and studying technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for hydraulic components. Document work procedures based on technical requirements. Analyze and interpret test information to resolve repair-related problems.

Lead a team by training technicians, planning, assigning, and directing their work. Appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve issues within the group. Foster effective integration of people, processes, tools, and technology.

Assist in providing technology solutions for complex MRO systems to elevate processes. Perform literature searches on hydraulic systems, especially cylinders, pumps, and motors. Contribute to advancing MRO capabilities in aviation maintenance.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical engineering with 2 years of working experience related to Hydraulic fields or MRO Services
  • Certified Reliability Engineer will be an added advantage
  • Able to read and understand Hydraulic circuit drawings
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and strong ability to work within a team
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas, approach and objectives clearly
  • Work under pressure, independent and self-motivated
  • The ability to be a good listener, and to really understand a customer problem or question and help them solve it

Responsibilities

  • Conduct failure investigation and prepare reports for problems or issues based on findings from facts, research, studies and make necessary recommendations
  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of Hydraulic systems inclusive of Cylinders, Pump & Motor and scopes of work
  • Document work procedures based on technical requirements for the MRO components
  • Analyse and interpret test information to resolve repaired related problems
  • Train technicians; plan, assign, and direct work to a group of technicians; appraise performance, address complaints and resolve problems
  • Assist in providing technology solutions to overcome more complex MRO systems
  • Perform literature searches on the subject area for MRO in Hydraulic System especially in Cylinder, Pump & Motor
