About this role
Pacific Aviation, a leading airport-handling provider with a 30-year success record, seeks a Flight Operations Manager to mentor our team. This role directs and coordinates flight operation and control activities for regional stations, ensuring exceptional service for world-class airlines.
The manager oversees preparation and filing of computerized Flight and ATC plans for International and Trans-Pacific/Atlantic flights. They provide full weather and operational briefings to flight crews, analyzing weather NOTAMS and ATC data to ensure safe operations and compliance with airline SOPs.
They liaise with Upper Management, Clients, Vendors, Airport and Government Authorities to ensure station activities comply with Federal, State, Company and Airline regulations. The role manages and develops Flight Dispatch and Weight & Balance personnel to maximize on-time performance, staffing, training, and safety.
Pacific Aviation currently supports three west coast major airports and is looking to expand to more locations across the U.S. As a manager, you will play a key role in this growth while benefiting from a diverse team culture that values varied backgrounds.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in Flight Operations
- FAA Flight Dispatch License
- Knowledge of CFR 14 PART 121, 129, 135, 120 and CFR 49 PART 40
- Capable to perform aircraft performance
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize functions efficiently
- Available to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate flight operation and control activities for regional stations through Flight Dispatchers and subordinate personnel.
- Oversee preparation and filing of computerized Flight and ATC plans for International, Trans-Pacific, and Atlantic flights.
- Provide full weather and operational briefings to flight crews, analyzing weather NOTAMS and ATC data to ensure safe operations and compliance with airline SOPs.
- Oversee and manage Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments.
- Liaise with Upper Management, Clients, Vendors, Airport and Government Authorities to ensure station activities comply with Federal, State, Company, and Airline regulations.
- Manage and develop Flight Dispatch and Weight & Balance personnel to maximize operational performance in on-time performance, staffing, training, and safety.
- Prepare staff work schedules and submit reports pertaining to flight operations, payroll, and client billing; operate within budget.
