The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and disseminating information concerning flight activity. This individual will also establish and maintain rapport with flight crews, pilots, passengers, ground handlers and customers. The role ensures seamless communication for efficient flight operations.

Daily duties include distributing incoming air traffic information, communicating flight release and fuel load data, and maintaining flight logs. The dispatcher also coordinates billing for services rendered and makes accommodation arrangements when flight delays occur. Other tasks include handling phone traffic and assisting with gate assignment.

The dispatcher maintains lines of communication with line operations and air carriers using two-way radios. Safety and security are paramount; the company is committed to a safe working environment and enforces a Substance Misuse Policy. All staff are expected to take reasonable care of health, safety and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 1+ years of experience as a dispatcher
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

  • Distribute incoming air traffic information to pilots and ground handlers
  • Communicate flight release and fuel load information to appropriate operations
  • Maintain lines of communication with line operations and air carriers through two-way radios
  • Coordinate with departments in billing for services rendered and compile information for each flight
  • Maintain flight logs and update flight schedules
  • Make arrangements for accommodation when flight delays occur
  • Assist in the planning and control of gate assignment
  • Recommend weight and balance preparation in accordance with airline requirements
