Your day-to-day involves unloading and loading luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, as well as working in the outbound bag room and baggage claim area. You will drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles, and perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, and frequent kneeling.

You will maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies. The role requires you to gather, input, and process data for operational success, including weather reporting, and to carry out area hazard checks and head-set duties communicating with the flight deck.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license
  • Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English
  • Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs repetitively
  • Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs Seal
  • Must have a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

  • On-load and off-load baggage manually or mechanically in accordance with relevant training
  • Gather, input, and process all data and documentation necessary for operational success, including weather reporting
  • Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out area hazard checks to maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, as trained
  • Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles on the airfield
  • Adhere to all standards and procedures ensuring all work is performed safely
