About this role
Airport Dispatch Agents are logistic experts who manage the dispatch of employees and equipment to arriving and departing flights. They ensure that all necessary personnel and resources are in place for each aircraft's turnaround, coordinating closely with ground crews.
Agents prepare flight paperwork for crew including flight plans, weather reports, and passenger manifests. They use various airline systems to track assignments and communicate with flight and cabin crew to ensure timely departures and smooth operations.
Working in a fast-paced airport environment, dispatch agents coordinate with ramp agents, gate agents, and operations teams. Effective communication is critical to ensure that all employees, passengers, baggage, and cargo are accounted for before each flight departs.
This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in airline operations and logistics. Successful agents may advance to supervisory or operations management positions within the aviation industry, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic field.
Requirements
- Effective communication skills with flight and cabin crew.
- Proficiency with airline systems and computer software.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills for preparing and verifying flight paperwork.
- Ability to work flexible AM and PM shifts as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass airport security background check and obtain necessary credentials.
Responsibilities

- Prepare flight paperwork for crew including flight plans, weather reports, and passenger manifests.
- Dispatch employees and applicable equipment to arriving and departing flights, planes, and assignments.
- Communicate with flight and cabin crew to ensure the aircraft departs with all employees, passengers, baggage, and cargo.
- Use various airline systems to track assignments and monitor flight schedules.
- Coordinate with ramp agents, gate agents, and operations teams to manage last-minute changes.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
