About this role

Drive value creation by engineering optimized Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) processes that seamlessly integrate into the global Rolls-Royce Maintenance and Overhaul network. Focus on advancing product lifecycle improvements and enhancing capabilities for reusing and remanufacturing components and engines. Design and implement innovative engineering solutions aligned with business objectives.

Develop and maintain MRO component and engine specifications, ensuring adoption of technically efficient, modern, flexible, and cost-effective methods. Define and uphold technical requirements for component repair processes across the network. Ensure Maintenance, Operational, and Overhaul technical data aligns with regulatory standards, contractual obligations, and customer commitments.

Support product quality assessments like First Article Inspections (FAI) and Last Article Inspections (LAI) at facilities. Analyze product service deterioration from maintenance and repair facilities to inform product maturity strategy. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Workshops, Service Operations, Planning & Purchasing, and Design teams.

Ensure technical solutions meet requirements for restoring service-run components. Support establishment and approval of new repair and overhaul capabilities. Identify gaps in repair technology, drive continuous improvement, and promote a compliance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 3 years of engineering experience in the design, manufacture, assembly, or testing of internal combustion engines; or 7 years of engineering experience in the design, manufacture, assembly, or testing of internal combustion engines
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Strong knowledge of design, development, test engineering, and assembly operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges effectively
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and materials
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, or similar design and drafting software

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MRO component and engine specifications, ensuring adoption of the most technically efficient, modern, flexible, and cost-effective methods
  • Define and uphold technical requirements for component repair processes, ensuring compliance across the component repair network
  • Ensure all required Maintenance, Operational, and Overhaul technical data aligns with regulatory standards, contractual obligations, and customer commitments

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Workshops, Service Operations, Planning & Purchasing, Design teams, and other stakeholders to support remanufacturing and overhaul workshops
  • Support the establishment and approval of new repair and overhaul capabilities
  • Identify and address gaps in repair technology to drive continuous improvement
