Fantastic opportunity for professional and skilled Helicopter Pilots to join our rapidly growing company. Due to exciting growth both in Australia and globally, multiple opportunities exist across our entire fleet. McDermott Aviation is Australia’s largest privately owned Heli-Aviation company operating over 45 helicopters worldwide.
Operate a variety of helicopters in our fleet to provide aerial application services to local and national governments. Safely and proficiently operate in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections ensuring all safety checks are completed.
Pilots perform in dynamic, fast-paced and changing environments covering aerial fire fighting, charter, emergency assistance and helicopter lifting services. Bases located throughout Australia, USA and Europe with headquarters on the Sunshine Coast. Join a team of knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate pilots amid significant expansion.
Opportunities available globally in full time and contract positions across all locations. Receive training across our entire fleet including the world’s largest fleet of Bell 214B helicopters. Seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic candidates ready to adapt to every situation.
Requirements
- Commercial helicopter pilot licence
- 1500 hours flying time
- 500 hours turbine experience
- 100 hours on type (AS 355, AS 365, B 212/412, B214, B205, B47, AS355, B206) preferable
- Current CASA Class 1 Medical
- Pre-employment DAMP test
- Hold a current passport
- Full working rights within Australia
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of helicopters to provide aerial application services to a broad spectrum of clients including local and national governments
- Safely and proficiently operate in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure all safety checks are completed before each flight
- Conduct post-flight inspections and ensure all safety checks are completed after each flight
- Monitor weather conditions and air traffic to ensure safe flight operations
- Adhere to all aviation rules and regulations maintaining the highest level of safety and professionalism
- Perform aerial fire fighting, charter, emergency assistance and helicopter lifting services
