About this role

As a Crew Controller at SAS, you’ll step right into the heart of our operational activities. You make a difference every day by ensuring the right crew is in the right place at the right time. You’ll work in our Operations Control Center (OCC) with experienced colleagues, handling daily challenges in a dynamic environment.

You’ll coordinate and secure crew staffing for SAS flights at all hours, in accordance with collective agreements, aviation authority regulations (OM-A), and SAS internal guidelines. Drive punctuality, regularity, and cost-efficiency through smart planning, quick problem-solving, and close collaboration with other OCC functions. Thrive with a sharp eye for detail and proactive approach under pressure.

This is an important, exciting, and varied role in a team where collaboration, responsibility, and problem-solving are key. Your contribution is directly reflected in our flights. Work closely with the action in OCC, finding solutions that keep SAS flying.

Requirements

  • Documented experience in personnel planning within operational environments
  • Understanding of and experience with collective agreements in staffing
  • Strong computer skills and experience with operational support systems
  • Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish)
  • Self-driven and responsible
  • Solution-oriented and decisive, even under time pressure
  • Structured and detail-oriented
  • Flexible, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational staffing of SAS flights during ongoing operations
  • Manage recovery during traffic irregularities
  • Handle reroutings and diversions
  • Staff for extra production and commercial special requests
  • Ensure correct service staffing according to the traffic program
  • Apply regulatory and company policies
