The Avionics Engineer role is within the Avionic Systems area at the Venegono Superiore site.

The resource will join the Avionic Systems unit, specifically in the Avionic Systems Engineering discipline for M-346 Block 20. Primary focus includes architectural analysis relative to the avionics system and defining, managing, and controlling project requirements for system design in the M-346 Block 20 avionics context.

Daily activities involve managing relationships with equipment suppliers and contributing to System Design documentation for project reviews such as System Requirements Review, Preliminary/Critical Design Review, and Test Readiness Review. Collaboration occurs with the internal product development team and potential suppliers/partners.

The role includes defining and planning product test and qualification activities. Opportunities exist to engage in strategic global programs as a technological and industrial partner to governments and defense administrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Aerospace
  • At least 2 years of experience in the aeronautical sector in avionics systems with particular reference to onboard displays
  • Knowledge of main basic avionics systems
  • Experience in defining requirements for onboard apparatus
  • Proficiency in DOORS and Serena Dimensions tools
  • Knowledge of MIL STD 1553 and ARINC 429 standards
  • English knowledge at B1/B2 level or higher (written and spoken)
  • Availability for short business trips

Responsibilities

  • Perform architectural analysis relative to the avionics system
  • Define, manage, and control project requirements for system design in the avionics context of the M-346 Block 20 aircraft
  • Manage relationships with equipment suppliers
  • Contribute to System Design documentation to conduct project reviews (System Requirements Review, Preliminary/Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review) with internal team and suppliers/partners
  • Define and plan product test and qualification activities
