Breeze Airways is hiring Seriously Nice Pilots to fly the A220 at the newest and nicest airline. First Officers ensure safe and timely flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. Pilots are Leaders who safely take care of Team Members and Guests.

Our pursuit of excellence is not a destination, but a journey. First Officers employ the CRM concept of “Assertiveness with Respect” and maintain high proficiency in flight operations, procedures, and systems. They assist with pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness per Company policy and FARs.

First Officers develop technically and professionally in preparation for transition to PIC. They become familiar with departure, arrival, and alternate weather prior to each flight. They observe the Rules of Conduct outlined in the Company Team Member Playbook and Pilot Playbook.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 23 years old at the time of hire
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi engine and instrument ratings
  • Current ATP Written completed if an FAA ATP is not held
  • 1,500+ hours total time (not including simulator and/or Flight Engineer time)
  • Minimum of 500 hours’ time through US FAR Part 121 or Military PIC on a multiengine, turbine powered, fixed-wing airplane or powered-lift aircraft requiring more than one pilot

Responsibilities

  • Maintain thorough working knowledge of equipment operated, Federal Aviation Regulations, Company manuals, Operations Specifications, policies, and instructions
  • Plan the flight in accordance with applicable weather information, Company policies, and FARs
  • Ensure qualified for the assigned flight including flight and duty time limitations, training, proficiency checks, and medical certificate
  • Perform all duties the Captain may assign in flight
  • Assess risk and use proper resources to keep risk to an acceptable level during all phases of ground and flight operations
  • Employ the CRM concept of “Assertiveness with Respect”
  • Develop technically and professionally in preparation for transition to PIC
  • Perform pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure airworthy condition of assigned aircraft
