Safely execute all flights using professional flying and flight planning skills per FAA rules and RTX policies. Maintain situational awareness and exercise good judgment for in-flight and ground decisions. Utilize Crew Resource Management with checklists, instrumentation, crew, and ATC.
Exercise final authority over trips to ensure passenger and aircraft safety while monitoring crew adherence to FAA and RTX standards. Regularly review aircraft systems, procedures, SOPs, FARs, and ICAO regulations. Maintain proficiency in meteorology for safe trip planning and execution.
Offer constructive feedback and coach associates to higher performance levels. Participate in company training and implement ISBAO processes. Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays based on customer needs.
Requirements
- Commercial Pilot Certificate and a minimum of 1500 hours pilot flight experience
- Minimum of 500 hours of experience in turbine powered fixed-wing aircraft
- Technical expertise in assigned aircraft with demonstrated record of adherence to FAA regulations and company policies
- Ability to make consistent, logical and effective decisions under normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions
- Utilize sound cockpit management principles and display professional bearing with strong interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Perform the duties of Pilot-in-Command or Second-in-Command on RTX Flight owned or leased aircraft
- Safely execute all flights utilizing professional flying and flight planning skills in accordance with FAA rules and RTX policies
- Utilize Crew Resource Management skills including checklists, instrumentation, other crewmembers, and ATC
- Exercise final authority over the trip to ensure safety of passengers and aircraft
- Monitor crewmembers for adherence to FAA and RTX Flight standards
- Offer positive and constructive feedback and coach others to higher performance
- Participate in and apply learning from company sponsored training
- Implement and maintain ISBAO requirements and ensure compliance with RTX EH&S and Ethics policies
