About this role
As a Ramp Agent with Alliance Ground International, you will be essential in ensuring that flights run on time by providing efficient ground support services in a fast-paced, safety-obsessed aviation environment. This outdoor role is critical to the safe and timely turnaround of aircraft at San Jose airport.
Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate, transporting and loading passenger baggage, cargo, and mail, and operating heavy equipment such as pushback tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts. You will also clean aircraft cabins between flights and stock supplies as needed.

Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions in a fast-paced aviation environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, load, and unload heavy baggage, cargo, and mail safely.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate motorized ground support equipment.
- Commitment to following safety, security, and compliance procedures at all times.
- Ability to complete all required training from the company, airport authority, or customer.
- Attention to detail for recording and safeguarding customer property and cargo.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive lifting for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
- Transport, lift, load/unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts.
- Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo, and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, or destruction.
- Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
- Operate heavy equipment such as pushback tugs, belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers.
- Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
- Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, including wheelchairs, strollers, and live animals.
- Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments and enter data into the company's information system.
