As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) on our Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of our fleet. This role suits those with broad, hands-on understanding of complex aircraft systems including structural maintenance and select avionics.

Perform and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), approved standards, and AirSprint procedures. Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on modern business aircraft. Carry out repair, servicing, and troubleshooting according to specifications and company manuals.

Troubleshoot advanced mechanical and electrical systems using up-to-date technical resources and manufacturer support. Perform maintenance on Turbo Fan aircraft with Full Authority Digital Engine Controls (FADEC) and work with advanced avionics packages. Report issues affecting serviceability or safety of aircraft.

Reporting to Maintenance Manager on a 12-hour shift schedule in Calgary. Ideal candidate is passionate about aviation with high technical knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills. Fit in as detail-oriented team player who identifies hazards, shows judgment, adapts to change, and steps up to lead.

Starting salaries aligned with experience and years licensed, from $92,000 (Level 1) to $130,000 (Level 11). Includes ACA at 7% of base for signing authority on two or more aircraft types. Annual increases tied to performance with compensation from day one.

Requirements

  • Transport Canada AME M2 License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • A Canadian Passport or a valid Passport to another country with a US Visa
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Current experience on aircraft type (Cessna 525 series, Embraer 545/550)
  • Current experience with Garmin G3000 or Collins Proline Fusion avionics suites
  • Current experience on Honeywell HTF7000 or Williams FJ44 power plants
  • A valid YYC Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AirSprint’s fleet of modern business aircraft in accordance with Transport Canada’s regulations and standards
  • Carry out repair, servicing, and troubleshooting of aircraft and components according to specifications, company manuals and established procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced aircraft mechanical and electrical systems utilizing comprehensive, and up to date technical resources with full support from the manufacturer
  • Perform maintenance on Turbo Fan aircraft equipped with Full Authority Digital Engine Controls (FADEC)
  • Work with advanced avionics packages comprised of leading-edge technology
  • Report issues affecting the serviceability or safety of aircraft
