About this role

Finnair seeks a Flight Planner to produce high quality flight planning services for Flight Operations. Ensure planning is safe, cost efficient, and fulfills authorities' requirements and Finnair’s internal procedures. Provide services during flights to minimize air traffic delays.

Work at the heart of OCC’s decision making as part of the Flight Planning Team. Collaborate closely with Lead Flight Planner to make optimal decisions for smooth operations. Be analytical, focused, decisive in the fast-paced environment.

Produce efficient flight plans that are safe and economically reasonable for each flight. Assist pilots in flight preparation with relevant information and file ATC-flight plans. Monitor automated flight planning system and follow-up operations environment 24/7.

Requirements

Strong understanding and knowledge of airline operational core processes
Good understanding of commercial needs and requirements
Strong analytical skills
Ability to make independent decisions under pressure
Can-do attitude with strong execution skills
Systematic and self-initiative way of working
Strong cooperation and communication skills
Fluent English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

Produce efficient flight planning and create safe, economically reasonable flight plans for each flight
Assist pilots in flight preparation and provide relevant information required for the flight
File ATC-flight plan for each flight
Monitor automated flight planning system in cooperation with Lead Flight Planner
Follow-up of flight planning operations environment 24/7
