Mission Aviation Fellowship

Mareeba, AU · Full-time · A$90,000 – A$120,000

About this role

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) uses light aircraft to deliver help and hope in over 30 developing countries for more than 75 years. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to remotest regions. We have a great opportunity for an Aircraft Engineer to join our Mareeba Maintenance Teams to support operational MAF Programmes by maintaining a range of aircraft types.

Our aircraft land on some of the most challenging terrain imaginable where safety is key. The skill an engineer brings is essential as we operate mainly single engine turbine and single engine piston aircraft. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems to carry out approved maintenance processes.

Perform highly skilled, complex and specialist work maintaining aircraft systems according to approved data and work instructions using relevant hand tools and equipment. Research data sources, ensure aircraft documentation is accurately completed and signed. Identify and resolve problems using approved data, processes and understand limits of authority.

Demonstrate flexibility to work both individually and as part of a global engineering team, supporting maintenance at other locations up to 10 weeks per year. Actively participate in Quality and Safety Management Systems by seeking continual improvement and using safe working practices. Combine engineering skills with the opportunity to serve in mission.
