About this role

Ryanair, Europe's Largest Airline, is recruiting a Flight Planner for its Head Office in Airside Business Park, Swords. The role is based in the Operations Control Centre on a shift pattern of 4 on / 4 off, including night shifts. This offers a starting package of €40,000 p/a plus €6,000 annual performance bonus, increasing to €45,000 after one year.

The Flight Planner develops and implements solutions for day-to-day flight planning problems. They assist Flight Operations with cost-effective solutions to disruptions and delays while monitoring flight plan production. Additional tasks include compiling reports and monitoring ATC messages to react accordingly.

In this busy working environment, the role requires preparation of flight planning paperwork for crews and updating route manuals, catalogues, and aircraft performance data. A high degree of flexibility is essential under pressure. The position supports any other duties requested by Operations Control Management.

Requirements

  • Ability to hold a Dublin Airport Airside ID
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively under pressure
  • Good problem solving and logistical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong outgoing personality
  • Good telephone manner
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Netline an advantage)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement solutions for day-to-day Flight Planning problems
  • Assist Flight Operations with cost-effective solutions to Flight Planning disruptions and delays
  • Monitor flight plan production
  • Compile reports as required
  • Monitor ATC messages and react accordingly
  • Prepare Flight planning paperwork for crews
  • Update route manuals and catalogue
  • Update Aircraft Performance Data
