Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to ensure flights run on time. This role involves maintaining detailed records of shipped goods, moving baggage and cargo from aircraft, and guiding aircraft to and from gates.

The Ramp Agent continuously lifts and moves 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft. Duties include operating motorized equipment, reading weight and balance loading instructions, and identifying hazardous materials. Frequent bending, stretching, and kneeling in confined spaces is required.

Work is performed primarily outdoors, requiring comfort in all weather conditions. You must take reasonable care of health, safety, and wellbeing, and the company enforces a Substance Misuse Policy. Flexible shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays are required.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs continuously.
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
  • Must have a current driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors; must be comfortable in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport and customs badges/seals.

Responsibilities

  • Comfortably and continuously lift and move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft.
  • Transport cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
  • Operate motorized equipment such as tugs and belt loaders.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and loading manifests.
  • Guide aircraft to and from gates using marshalling signals.
  • Maintain detailed records of shipped goods and baggage routing tags.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support flight operations.
