About this role

As a key member of the engineering team at CareFlight, you will work with dedicated professionals in a leading aeromedical organisation. Enjoy a Monday-Friday day shift roster that supports work-life balance. Reporting to the Engineering Base Manager, coordinate and perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.

Manage timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities daily. Carry out maintenance on aircraft components and supervise unlicensed engineers or contractors as required. Complete documentation correctly and maintain aircraft and engine log books accurately.

Ensure CareFlight aircraft meet all licensing requirements, CASA regulations, and procedural manuals. Raise non-compliance issues with appropriate personnel and adhere to safe workplace practices using the Safety Reporting System. Maintain personal tools and service ground support equipment regularly.

Join a trusted Australian for-purpose aeromedical team serving over 8,500 patients yearly with helicopters, turbo props, jets, and more. Be part of operations across NSW and NT, supporting defence, government, and resource sectors. Attend correspondence, emails, and calls as needed for smooth operations.

Requirements

  • CASA Part 66 B1.1
  • Team player approach to work but able to work autonomously effectively
  • Ability to problem solve and provide workable solutions
  • Outstanding organisation skills and self-motivated
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to work with staff and crew from varying groups
  • Professional, service-orientated attitude
  • CASA Part 66 B1 AME Licence on Beech 200 Series (PWC PT6) highly regarded
  • CASA Part 66 B1 AME licence on Beechjet B400XT (Williams FJ44) highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft
  • Manage the timely completion of maintenance and engineering activities
  • Carry out maintenance of aircraft components
  • Supervise unlicensed engineers and/or contractors as required
  • Complete maintenance documentation correctly
  • Maintain aircraft and engine log books
  • Maintain aircraft within the scope of all licensing requirements, CASA regulations, and CareFlight procedures
  • Identify hazards, adhere to safe practices, and use the CareFlight Safety Reporting System
