About this role
Denver International Airport (DEN), the third-busiest airport in the United States, seeks a Ramp Tower Controller for the Airport Operations team. Work onsite in the Ramp Control Tower with a team of Controllers and the Ramp Tower Manager. Manage day-to-day operations including aircraft movements in non-movement areas.
Issue push, taxi, safety advisory, and instructions to aircraft via FCC licensed frequencies. Instruct aircraft during low visibility conditions using point-to-point guidance around snow plows, melters, and deicers. Coordinate aircraft gate parking assignments and manage deicing operations.
The Ramp Tower operates 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift assignments vary by operational needs with mandatory overtime during emergencies, staffing shortages, severe weather, and snow removal. Duties may extend to other airport areas as required.

Requirements
- FCC license to operate on aviation frequencies
- Knowledge of non-movement area procedures at major airports
- Ability to provide clear point-to-point instructions in low visibility
- Availability for 24/7 shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Readiness for mandatory overtime during weather events and emergencies
- Familiarity with ramp coordination for deicing and snow removal
- Clear verbal communication for issuing pilot instructions
Responsibilities
- Issue push, taxi, safety advisory and instructions to aircraft in the non-movement area via FCC licensed frequencies
- Instruct aircraft during low visibility conditions using point to point instructions in the non-movement area around snow plows, snow melters and deicers
- Control the movement of aircraft in non-movement areas
- Manage aircraft deicing operations
- Coordinate aircraft gate parking assignments
- Monitor ramp traffic for safe operations during irregular conditions
