About this role
Planned Systems International seeks an AFSOC Mission Rehearsal Training Aircrew Controller at Hurlburt Field. This role trains individuals in field environments on individual, common, and implied tasks. Provides input to after action reports, hot washes, and training documents while ensuring execution meets standards.
Controls aircraft range entry and exit while managing LZ/DZ operations. Oversees safe execution of AFSOC aircraft and makes recommendations to government officials. Tracks suspense systems and screens incoming correspondence for proper dissemination.
Supports aircrew training, ground training, and continuation sorties by emulating friendly and opposing forces. Directs personnel to mimic enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures. Works within military command structures interfacing with federal, state, and local agencies.
Adapts to government-provided equipment reconfigurations, upgrades, and modernizations. Employs new techniques and technologies to align procedures with mission requirements. Leverages extensive SOF aircrew background in tactics, training, and life support.
Requirements
- Active T3 investigation with ability to obtain and maintain security clearances for classified information
- Valid civilian driver’s license for operated vehicles
- Working knowledge of military, federal, state, and local agency interfaces and command/control structures
- Complete AFSOC LZSO/DZSO training, local orientation, and certification by Wing authority within 30 days
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Proficient at role-playing Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and Ground Force Commander (GFC)
- Qualified to simulate directing military aircraft for close air support from forward positions
- Conduct LZ/DZ usability assessments per DAFMAN 13-217 and weather observations per FAA JO 7110.65
