About this role

Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to join our rapidly expanding, best-in-class team in Frimley, UK. This role supports the certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners, demonstrating compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Day-to-day, you will lead design and certification activities for electrical and avionic equipment and systems changes as part of large aircraft modifications. You will compile and check engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and service bulletins, and witness on-wing tests.

You will work within the EASA Modifications team, reporting to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and collaborating with a global engineering services team across multiple time zones. The role involves acting as a Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR, and FAI.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree within Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent) is essential
Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
Experience supporting certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners
Ability to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company's Design Organization Handbook (DOH)

Responsibilities

Report to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and work with the global engineering services team across multiple time zones to identify requirements and solutions for active and upcoming projects
Lead and contribute to design activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and address certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical/avionic equipment and systems changes
Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including on-wing test witnessing
Compile and check engineering documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness, including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, and service bulletins
Compile and check certification documents to demonstrate compliance with electrical systems airworthiness requirements, including electrical load analysis, test plans and reports, compliance statements, and system safety documents
Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR, and FAI in support of active and upcoming projects
Provide additional on-site support to assist customers during the embodiment phase of the project
