About this role
Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team focused on commercial aircraft modifications. This role will support the certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners, demonstrating compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Day-to-day, you will report to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and work with the global engineering services team across multiple time zones to identify requirements and solutions for active and upcoming projects. You will lead design and certification activities, including on-wing test witnessing, to ensure compliance with design requirements and address integration issues relating to electrical and avionic equipment and systems.
Based in our Design Office in Frimley, UK, you will collaborate with teammates, customers, and subcontractors, with occasional national and international travel required. You will act as a Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR, and FAI, providing additional on-site support during the embodiment phase of projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree within Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
- Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
- Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent) is essential
- Experience supporting certification of large aircraft modifications to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
- Ability to work across multiple time zones with a global engineering services team
- Experience compiling engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and service bulletins
Responsibilities
- Report to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and work with the global engineering services team across multiple time zones to identify requirements and their associated solutions for active and upcoming projects
- Lead and contribute to design activities to ensure compliance with design requirements, and address certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical/avionic equipment and systems changes as part of large aircraft modifications
- Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including on-wing test witnessing
- Compile and check engineering documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, service bulletins, and aircraft and component manual ICA supplements
- Compile and check certification documents to demonstrate compliance with airworthiness requirements including electrical load analysis documents, test plans and reports, compliance statements, system safety and EWIS documents, and certification programmes
- Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and upcoming projects, and provide additional on-site support during the embodiment phase of the project
