As a Horizon Air flight attendant, you’ll fly regionally throughout the West, creating signature inflight experiences for a fun and challenging career. Safety remains the number-one priority while bringing your best self to work. Manage a flexible schedule and uphold high standards to create remarkable moments.

You represent Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines as an authentic, gracious host with in-depth knowledge of inflight service and safety procedures. Greet passengers, demonstrate emergency equipment, serve meals and beverages including alcohol, and market onboard products using a mobile device. Calmly resolve situations like medical emergencies during flight.

Work in a union-represented position with fellow employees and guests, maintaining a positive, approachable manner. Ensure all safety equipment is in working order and comply with regulations. Answer flight operation questions and provide destination information.

Attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR, including an audio assessment. Relocate to bases like Seattle, WA or Portland, OR. Possess a passport for unlimited U.S. travel and demonstrate physical fitness for duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience
  • Uncompromising dedication to safety
  • Body size that fits specific aircraft dimensions including jump seat, harness, cabin aisle, and emergency exits
  • Ability to meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards
  • Ability to demonstrate physical ability to perform flight attendant duties
  • Ability to relocate to flight attendant bases: Seattle WA, Portland OR, Medford OR, Boise ID, Spokane WA, Anchorage AK, Everett WA
  • Willingness to serve alcohol
  • Flexible to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and extensive travel

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations
  • Verify all safety equipment on aircraft is in working order
  • Greet passengers and assist with seating assignments, carry-on baggage stowage, and security
  • Explain and demonstrate use of safety equipment and emergency procedures
  • Prepare and serve meals, beverages, and alcohol
  • Market onboard products like meals and inflight movies and process sales using a mobile device
  • Calmly resolve passenger situations during flight, including medical emergencies
  • Answer questions regarding flight operations and provide destination information
