The Crew Controller provides oversight of proper allocation and utilization of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi crew members during daily and short-term operations.

Ensure adequate crewing for all flights within the operational window through continuous tracking and modification of cockpit and cabin crew rosters up to 72 hours in advance. Proactively manage forward planning for long-term disruptions like industrial actions, planned maintenance, or lengthy AOGs. Provide crew members on the day of operation to address shortages from sickness, flight insertions, or delays.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of aviation crew rostering and scheduling regulations
  • Familiarity with cockpit and cabin crew management systems
  • Experience in airline operations control and disruption management
  • Understanding of GCAA or equivalent crew duty time limitations
  • Proficiency in monitoring crew fatigue and legalities
  • Ability to handle real-time crew shortages and reallocations

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate crewing of all Wizz Air Abu Dhabi flights taking place within the operational window
  • Forward plan and proactively manage possible long-term disruptions to daily crewing activities such as industrial actions, planned maintenance checks, or lengthy AOGs
  • Continuously track, monitor, and modify cockpit and cabin crew rosters during day-to-day operations plus 72 hours in advance
  • Cooperate continuously with the Duty Manager of Operations
  • Maintain a permanent connection between Operations Planning and crew dispatchers
  • Provide adequate crew members on the day of operation in case of shortages due to sickness, flight insertion, or delays
  • Monitor crew availability and compliance with flight time limitations during operations
