About this role

Serco operates the Ramp Control Tower at the San Diego International Airport, one of the most unique international airports on the U.S. west coast. If you are an air traffic controller with the desire for something a little different, then Ramp Control may be for you.

You will be part of a team of professional air traffic controllers who staff the Ramp Tower. Use your skills and understanding of the air traffic control system to coordinate the movement of aircraft on the non-movement side of the airport. Authorize aircraft pushbacks and taxiing to the movement area for hand off to the air traffic control tower.

Direct aircraft to the proper gate and deconflict them from other aircraft in the non-movement area. Use state of the art systems to provide situational awareness about anticipated aircraft arrivals and departures. Communicate with pilots using aviation radios and with dispatchers and airport personnel using FM radios and landlines.
