At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer at RAF Cosford near Albrighton, Wolverhampton, you'll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards.

Day-to-day, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements, certify work completed in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals, and diagnose faults while completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime. You will also ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately and in compliance with standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex aviation platforms in a role that directly contributes to operational readiness and mission success. You will support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and performance within a world-class engineering environment.

Based on site at RAF Cosford, this full-time role operates on a 40-hour week including weekends, with potential travel to other Babcock and customer sites. The role supports your own professional growth while building a safer world through precision engineering.

Requirements

EASA Part 66 License (or UK CAA equivalent) – essential
Demonstrated experience working in a regulated aviation maintenance environment
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
Relevant type ratings or experience across similar aircraft platforms
Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining high attention to detail
Clear communication with stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met
Human Factors and EWIS training (desirable)
Ability to achieve and maintain (BPSS) Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance

Responsibilities
