About this role
Planned Systems International seeks an AFSOC Mission Rehearsal Training Aircrew Controller at Hurlburt Field. This role trains individuals, often in field environments, in individual, common, and implied tasks. Provides input to after action reports and hot washes while ensuring demonstrations meet training standards.
Controls aircraft range entry/exit and manages LZ/DZ operations daily. Oversees safe execution of AFSOC aircraft, making recommendations to government officials. Tracks suspense systems, screens correspondence, and disseminates directives properly.
Supports aircrew, ground, and continuation training by emulating friendly and opposing forces. Directs personnel to mimic enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures. Works within military command structures and interfaces with federal, state, and local agencies.
Adapts readily to government-provided equipment upgrades and modernizations. Employs new techniques and technologies to align procedures with mission requirements. Leverages extensive SOF aircrew background for standardization, evaluation, and exercise management.
Requirements
- Extensive background as SOF aircrew or Battlefield Airman with knowledge of tactics, techniques, procedures, training, standardization, evaluation, publications, life support, exercise, and mobility requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain T3 investigation and necessary security clearances
- Possess valid civilian driver’s license
- Working knowledge of military, federal, state, local agencies and command and control structures
- Complete AFSOC LZSO/DZSO training and local area orientation within 30 days
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Proficient at role-playing Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and Ground Force Commander (GFC)
- Conduct LZ/DZ usability assessments per DAFMAN 13-217 and weather observations per FAA JO 7110.65

- Employ new techniques and technologies to keep procedures abreast of mission requirements
