The role centers on guiding aircraft to and from gates while handling baggage, cargo, and mail. Agents also clean cabins, stock supplies, and operate belt loaders, pushback tugs, and deicers with strict attention to safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and motorized ground support vehicles
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to following all safety, security and compliance procedures
  • Capability to complete required training by company, airport or customer
  • Physical ability to lift, load and move baggage and cargo repeatedly

Responsibilities

  • Guide inbound and outbound airplanes to and from the gate
  • Transport, lift, load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo and mail in a safe manner
  • Safeguard customer baggage, air cargo and airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage or destruction
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies
  • Operate heavy equipment such as pushback tugs while maintaining visual contact with Wing Walkers
  • Drive motorized equipment including belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks and deicers
  • Receive, record and transport cargo, baggage and company materials as required
  • Complete all required training and follow company procedures for safe and responsible operations
