Architect (ATC) role focused on designing and evolving air traffic control systems for aviation clients. The position requires deep domain knowledge of ATC operations, safety standards, and integrated technology platforms.

Daily work involves creating system architectures, evaluating new surveillance and communication technologies, and ensuring compliance with ICAO and DGCA regulations. Architects collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions.

Work occurs within cross-functional aviation programs that include controllers, software developers, and infrastructure specialists. The environment emphasizes rigorous safety analysis, simulation-based validation, and iterative delivery aligned with air navigation service provider requirements.

Opportunities exist to influence next-generation ATC capabilities including digital towers, remote operations, and trajectory-based operations. The role supports long-term modernization initiatives for Indian and international airspace systems.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in air traffic management systems and ATC domain
  • Knowledge of radar, ADS-B, voice communication, and flight data processing systems
  • Experience with system architecture frameworks and aviation safety cases
  • Familiarity with SWIM, AIXM, and ATM data exchange standards
  • Background in simulation, validation, and operational testing of ATC systems

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end ATC system architectures meeting safety and performance requirements
  • Evaluate and integrate surveillance, communication, and automation technologies
  • Ensure designs comply with ICAO, DGCA, and EUROCONTROL standards
  • Lead technical reviews and safety assessments for new ATC capabilities
  • Develop reference architectures and reusable components for ATC platforms
  • Coordinate with ANSPs and vendors on system implementation roadmaps
