About this role

As a Night Dispatcher at TCI, you serve as the command center for overnight operations. You ensure deliveries stay on track, drivers remain safe, and customers stay satisfied while making real-time decisions that impact performance and service.

You oversee assigned regions to maintain on-time delivery and service excellence. Monitoring loads, routes, and driver activity keeps operations running smoothly while you book hotels and handle overnight logistics support.

You work closely with Driver Managers, Transportation Managers, and customers to coordinate across all levels. Acting as the key point of contact for overnight operations and issue resolution maintains strong communication from drivers to leadership.

This overnight on-site role demands accountability in a fast-paced environment. You utilize Samsara, McLeod, and Tenstreet systems to keep loads updated in real time while promoting safety and meeting customer performance targets.

Requirements

Experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or operations
Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently overnight
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfort with technology, systems, and digital tools including Office 365 and dispatch software
High level of accountability, professionalism, and integrity
Ability to respond to calls, texts, and emails including occasional emergencies

Responsibilities

Oversee assigned regions to ensure on-time delivery and service excellence
Monitor loads, routes, and driver activity to keep operations running smoothly
Book hotels and support drivers with overnight logistics
Work closely with Driver Managers, Transportation Managers, and customers
Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
Monitor and enforce DOT, FMCSA, and local regulations
Utilize Samsara, McLeod, and Tenstreet systems for load management and billing readiness
Ensure loads are updated in real time to support accurate billing and reporting
