Daily work involves verifying each passenger boarding pass against checked bags before moving them forward. Handlers ask required safety and security questions while loading luggage onto the security screening induction belt. The role demands consistent physical effort across an entire shift in a busy airport setting.

Close coordination with airline ticket counter agents ensures smooth baggage flow from curbside to screening. All employees must complete on-the-job security training and obtain applicable airport badges. The environment requires standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling on a frequent basis.

Professional appearance standards apply at all times, including clean uniforms and grooming guidelines. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to clear a background and drug screen
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs consistently throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, push, and pull throughout entire shift
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar and tone
  • Able to obtain an airport badge
  • Complete all required training including airport compliance

Responsibilities

  • Verify passenger boarding pass with checked bag and move bags to the security screening induction system
  • Ask each passenger the required safety and security questions while communicating clearly
  • Load passenger luggage onto the security screening induction belt
  • Work closely with airline ticket counter agents to coordinate baggage movement
  • Maintain professional appearance and follow all appearance guidelines during shifts
  • Complete required airport compliance training and obtain necessary security badges
