Do you love airplanes and enjoy the satisfaction of completing tasks under tight deadlines? This role calls for hands-on people with flexible availability who love working with airplanes. The position reports directly to the Ramp Lead and includes a great paid training program.

Ground Handlers provide ground service support to some of Canada’s best airlines. Reliability and flexibility are essential as team members go above and beyond while working outside in all types of weather and meeting strict Transport Canada procedures.

Requirements

Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
Physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs
Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
Must wear safety wear including steel toe boots, reflective vest and hearing protection
Ability to obtain Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
Successful criminal background check
Valid driver’s license with clean driver abstract

Responsibilities

Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
Drive and operate ground service equipment
Marshall and wing-walk aircraft to gate
Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
Service aircraft water and lavatories
Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove or dispose when found
Groom aircraft by cleaning cabins, galleys and lavatories and restocking supplies
