Pratt & Whitney is transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing advanced engines. The GTF Aftermarket Customer Technical Service team seeks a highly motivated individual to manage technical issues for PW1000G-JM hardware. Focus on ensuring engine safety, reliability, and competitive advantage in delays, cancellations, IFSD rates, and MRO support.
Serve as primary contact for DAT facilities in the GTF Aftermarket Network for all technical issues directed to the CTS MRO team. Provide support to MRO shops by ensuring technical data availability and timely resolution of issues. Act as conduit from DAT into CTS to drive efficiencies and on-time delivery.
Report to the Aftermarket Senior Manager of the GTF CTS organization. Coordinate with P&W organizations, MROs, and partners like JAEC/MTU to ensure smooth engine overhauls. Assist CTS engineers in assessing and accepting hardware outside Engine Manual limits.
Identify process improvements to address issues and optimize engine overhaul times. Represent CTS at key GTF operational meetings. Expected travel requirement is 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience in Aerospace Engineering
- U.S. Person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
- Experience managing technical issues for engine hardware in aftermarket support
- Knowledge of GTF engine platform and PW1000G-JM hardware
- Familiarity with Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) processes for aviation engines
- Ability to assess engine hardware outside Engine Manual limits
- Experience coordinating with MRO shops and partner companies
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for DAT facilities in the GTF Aftermarket Network for technical issues and questions directed to the CTS MRO team
- Provide support to MRO shops by ensuring technical data availability and resolution of technical issues in a timely fashion
- Act as conduit from DAT into CTS to drive efficiencies and on-time delivery
- Work closely with DAT to identify potential work-stops and best course of action for resolutions
- Team with CTS MRO team to create solutions and drive the organization to meet Global GTF MRO Network needs
- Assist CTS engineers by providing Engine Center context to optimize resolution paths
- Represent CTS at key GTF operational meetings
- Travel up to 10% as required
